RaceQuip and RaceDay Safety's relationship truly began in a pickup truck back in 2009. Patrick Utt had recently acquired the RaceQuip brand and his vice president of sales, Bob Mantell was searching for new dealers. We were running a few orders into the UPS store, because that's what you do when you are a new company....the cell phone rang. Surely, at the time, neither us nor Bob expected RaceDay Safety to become one of RaceQuip's largest dealers. Of course, at that same time, RaceQuip had a pretty limited selection, for instance, if you wanted a helmet, they had 1 model which came in any color you wanted as long as that color was...white. Today, RaceQuip could very well be the most popular brand of racing safety equipment in the United States and Canada. RaceQuip's extensive lineup of racing helmets is supported by their extensive lineup of racing suits, racing gloves, racing shoes and more.
Update: During the Summer of 2022, RaceQuip was purchased by Holley Performance Products.
