Zamp RZ-42Y Snell CMR2016 Youth Race Helmet Black/Red/Orange

The Zamp RZ-42Y Youth Race Helmet in the Black/Red/Orange Graphic, meets the Snell CMR2016 Standard. This standard is typically accepted for youth kart racing. If you are considering this helmet for other forms of youth motorsports, we strongly suggest consulting your rule book before purchasing. Some youth auto racing associations and/or race tracks, do not have the Snell CMR2016 helmet listed as approved head protection.

So you ask....what makes a Snell CMR2016 helmet different from a Snell SA2020 helmet or an SFI 24.1 helmet? Good question! The Snell CMR2016 helmet has a smaller shell size, similar to the SFI 24.1 helmet. Zamp's Snell CMR2016 helmet has many of the design and material feature of the SFI 24.1 and the Snell SA2020 helmets. The larger differences: it does not have built in anchors to accept head and neck restraints, the face shield is slightly thinner and has no tear off posts (comes with the 2.5 mm Z-21 clear shield). The thicker Zamp Z-20 3mm shields with tear off post do fit on this helmet.
